The Local Fund : Giving To Local Good Causes Made Easy

Is your business looking for a way to spread the love and support the vital work of lots of different small local charities? There are so many projects doing fantastic work it can be hard to choose just one!

Recipients of THE LOCAL FUND grants in 2023

Contributing to THE LOCAL FUND is simple:  your business makes one donation, which goes into a fund managed by Two Ridings Community Foundation.  The Foundation then awards grants to small local charities covering a range of good causes that your team members care about.

THE LOCAL FUND is all about people living and working in the district pooling their resources, using their talents, money and passion to help others who may be struggling for one reason or another.

Since 2017, THE LOCAL FUND, which is backed by a partnership of Two Ridings Community Foundation, the Chamber’s charity of the year Harrogate & District Community Action (HADCA) and North Yorkshire Council, has awarded over 140 grants and invested over £397,000.

This year, £42,331 has been distributed to 19 local community organisations, addressing the needs of local people around inequality, hidden poverty, loneliness, social isolation and health and wellbeing, including Resurrected Bites, Essential Needs, Headway, Supporting Older People and Wellspring Therapy and Training.

Let your teams enjoy the feel-good factor, knowing your business is supporting the communities in which you work, contributing to a sustainable source of funding for local charitable and grassroots community organisations.
